Here we are in the van, getting ready to leave for Mississippi. Aren't there a lot of us? It was supposed to be an hour drive, but there was a lot of traffic. So, it was much longer. But I didn't get car sick, so it was ok.

This is a lunar module - I've never seen one before, and I've never seen on this close! It's quite large in person!

This is the bus ride to the Space Center. My 'cousin' was holding me so that I could see out of the window. It was a beautiful day. |

Inside the Space Center we got to see and play with many things. We got to try our hooves at landing the Space Shuttle and working with aeronautical equipment, and so much more. I really learned a lot. |
Here me and my 'cousins' are working with some weather equipment. There was a lot to learn. And many buttons to push, too! |

I got to ride in the Space Shuttle and try to land it! Well, it was really a simulator, but it was quite exciting. I've never controlled a space craft before! My 'cousins' helped me a lot, too.

My 'cousin' Sam and I became best friends. He carried me all over. Here we are posing by a ship's wheel. I learned a lot about ships, too!

This is me outside one of the lunar crafts. What was neat about this one was that is a REAL one, not a replica. You can see where it is damaged from re-entry into our atmosphere. I didn't know that these burned up coming back to earth! It was neat to see.

Here we are in the Space Shuttle again. There are so many screens to watch! Astronauts must be very smart!

Me and my 'cousins' trying to land the shuttle. It's very hard work.

Look at this - I got my very own NASA sticker! I was very proud of that. This is me sitting in one of the tires made especially for the shuttle. It fits me perfect!

Whew! I was getting tired so my 'cousin' Nate offered to carry me around for awhile. This was fun - except when he dropped me on the floor and ran off.

Check it out! I'm an astronaut!! This was really exciting, I never thought I'd get to wear a space suit!

Just a close up of me in my space suit. I think if I ever want to be an astronaut I would have to have a smaller suit. This one was a bit large for me. But, it was a lot of fun to see what I would look like! If I study hard, maybe I could be the world's first 'Choclonaut!!! Ha ha.

Me and my 'cousin' with one of the engines from a space craft. These are quite large.

Me and my 'cousin' with an even bigger engine from a spacecraft. I can't imagine what it must be like to be near one of these while they are running. I think it would hurt my ears! |

Me and my 'cousin' standing in front of one of the rockets. It's very tall. |

On our way home from the Space Center, we stopped at a beach in Mississippi. I've never been to a beach like this before. I started to build a sand castle and play on the sand. What a beautiful day!

It was nice to watch my 'cousins' play in the waves. I didn't have a chair, but the sand pail worked just fine - it was the perfect size for me!

I really enjoyed sitting on the beach and listening to the waves. It was very relaxing. There was no one at the beach, so it was almost like being on a deserted island. You could see quite far out to sea. It was really pretty. I didn't see any sharks, though.

It was such a nice, sunny day, I thought I would catch a few rays. I don't have to worry about tan lines!

When we finally got home, we relaxed with a movie. Me and Sam were really tired, though, and fell asleep. It was a good day. |
